Pulmonary Program

Overview

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, causing more deaths than breast, colon and prostate cancer combined.

Orange Park Medical Center is committed to improving lung cancer cure rates through early detection, safe diagnosis and detailed lung cancer staging to help physicians select the best therapy for our patients. We are the area’s leader in minimally invasive diagnosis and minimally invasive surgery for lung cancer.

Multidisciplinary Support

Our lung cancer program includes pulmonologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses and allied health staff working as a team to diagnose and treat patients. Our patients benefit from the team’s combined knowledge in planning the best treatment possible. Team members involved in treating all cancer patients meet twice a month at a tumor board to discuss prospective cancer cases and recommend treatment plans.

Care Coordinator

Our lung cancer care coordinator is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) who is available to answer your questions and to help coordinate and schedule appointments. She can be reached at 904-505-1560.
