Physician specialists, anesthetists and surgeons work around the clock to ensure that patients receive lifesaving medical care quickly and effectively.
Through advance communication to the hospital, our capable trauma team is prepared and ready. A helipad is located near the entrance to the Emergency department to shave minutes off transportation time.
To accommodate the services of a Level II trauma center, we are adding 11,687 square feet to double the size of our emergency department to include:
- Two new state-of-the-art trauma rooms equipped to perform emergency surgery
- Four new ER rooms that quickly convert to accommodate the needs of psychiatric patients
- New CT scanner
- Two catheterization laboratories that provide emergent and elective cardiac interventions, including angioplasty and STENT placement
- Two additional operating rooms that are designed for heart and lung procedures
- Two nursing floors to accommodate 40 additional critical and intermediate care patients
